One of these treasures is Savasi Island Resort. Located on Vanua Levu, Savasi is set on a 52 acre island. A true natural wonder with turquoise waters, secluded sandy beaches, amazing limestone outcrops and spectacular volcanic crevasses. Set amongst all this beauty are just ten villas – all designed to offer privacy, amazing views out to the sea, and some with their own private beaches and pools. Once you have arrived at Nadi Airport you will transfer to your domestic flight up to Savusavu. Experience the spectacular scenery as you fly across Viti Levu and up to Fiji’s second biggest island. The Savasi staff will meet you at Savusavu Airport and then it’s a short ten-minute drive to Savasi Island.
Privacy is paramount at Savasi
Savasi’s ten villas are dotted around the island. No villa is the same and they range from one to three bedrooms. Privacy is paramount and the villas are designed using rainforest, bamboo and mangrove timber furniture as well as local arts and crafts.
Choose from a Clifftop villa with private pool or the two and one bedroom villas on the edge of the sea – all with your own private pool. Perfect for families is the three bedroom villa with private beach. To experience the true wonder of this resort, we suggest the two bedroom waterfall villa with enormous lily pond and your very own waterfall. The menu of experiences at this wonderful paradise will keep you busy if you choose to be – picture Kayaking down the peaceful Qaloqalo salt lake river – a 100 acre inland sea where the peace and tranquillity will leave you speechless, or visit the amazing waterfalls dotted throughout Savusavu, hike, catch mud crabs for dinner, join a herbal walking tour or simply stand up paddleboard outside your villa.
Amazing diving and miles of reefs to explore
Vanua Levu is known too for some of the very best diving. Koro Sun Dive are based at Savasi and know the very best spots to take you to discover the miles and miles of unexplored reefs with bottomless drop-offs, multi-coloured soft corals and perfect coral gardens. Go a little further away and discover Natewa Bay with an average depth of 500 meters. The highlight of a visit to the bay is the resident Spinner dolphins and even, on occasion, pilot whales. Amazing.
