OCEAN VIEW TERRACE ROOMS :  The Ocean Terrace King rooms are ideal for families and comfortably accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. Located on the ground floor they offer easy access to the Asian Takali Terrace Restaurant and Takali Pool.

OCEAN GRAND DELUXE ROOMS : Ideal for families and groups travelling together, the Grand Deluxe Rooms feature one king-size bed and two divans. This layout offers enough room to accommodate up to three adults, or two adults and three children. Private balcony with uninterrupted views of the South Pacific Ocean. Maximum room occupancy of 2 adults and 3 children.

Reef Wing Accommodation

Tranquil, secluded, and opulent – the Reef Wing is an exclusive sanctuary reserved for adults only – accessible solely to guests staying in this area.  You’ll feel as though you’ve stumbled upon your very own private paradise. Particularly cherished by couples and honeymooners, this section boasts dedicated arrival access, a separate check-in process, a lunchtime dining option, and an adults-only infinity pool. Enjoy daily complimentary cocktails and canapes from 5 pm to 6 pm, free golf green fees, a Fijian turn-down gift, and a welcoming bottle of wine. Additionally, Reef Wing guests receive an extra 30 minutes of complimentary time when booking a 60-minute body massage.

Please note that guests must be 16 years old or older to stay in Reef Wing Rooms, Suites, and Bures.

REEF DELUXE ROOMS : Offering spacious accommodation overlooking the majestic South Pacific Ocean, the Reef Deluxe Twins are ideal for couples. These rooms are located closer to the Infinity Pool and Café Coral. Maximum room occupancy of 3 adults for Reef Deluxe King Room or 2 adults in the Reef Deluxe Twin Rooms.

REEF GRAND DELUXE ROOMS : With a warm and welcoming design, the Reef Grand Deluxe Rooms feature glorious ocean views and a private balcony. Maximum room occupancy is 3 adults.

REEF BURES : The Reef Bures are adorned with rich woods and fabrics that evoke the warm, gracious spirit of the South Pacific. Offering casual family fare to impeccable seafood and elegant international cuisine, guests of Shangri-la Yanuca Island, Fiji, can enjoy the resorts range of tempting dining options during their stay in Fiji. Restaurants at the resort also offer the comfort of in-room dining around the clock.  Guests are advised that our restaurant programs and opening hours may change from time to time, depending on seasons and Resort occupancies.

THE BEACH BAR & GRILL: The recently refurbished Beach Bar & grill is a great casual dining restaurant, and a favourite for beach lovers. This Restaurant overlooks the Resort’s magnificent lagoon and lagoon pool area.

GOLDEN COWRIE COASTAL ITALIAN RESTAURANT : Offering a variety of great Italian classics, the Golden Cowrie Coastal Italian Restaurant serves authentic dishes including homemade pasta as well as locally sourced fish and meat dishes, prepared fresh as guests savour sweeping views of Fiji’s coral coast. The restaurant welcomes adults and children over the age of 7 years for dinner. Breakfast is served at the restaurant daily for adults only.

LAGOON TERRACE RESTAURANT : With spectacular views of the resort’s lagoon, the Lagoon Terrace Restaurant is a convenient dining choice due to its convenient location between the Lagoon View and Ocean View wings.  The restaurant features a selection of buffets and live cooking stations that vary nightly. his is the place for the whole family, with recent renovations including a great kids area, you will all be able to enjoy breakfast and dinner comfortably.

TAKALI ASIAN KITCHEN : Overlooking the Pacific Ocean with panoramic views of the reef, the Takali Asian Kitchen serves all-day poolside lunch with Asian cuisine and seafood for dinner. A wonderful twist was the restaurant’s Gin Bar.  As was explained to us by Ram, the food and beverage manager, Asian food is best served with gin. Who knew? Brought in fish bowl sized glasses and served with orange grapefruit, the various gin and tonics were the perfect companion to your meal.

BILO BAR : Bilo Bar is the resort’s best vantage point for viewing the fabulous Fijian sunsets. Drop in for an ice-cold beer, glass of wine, and a wide selection of cocktails and mocktails.

BLACK MARLIN BAR : The Black Marlin Bar has moved to a more adult-focussed part of the resort and it is stunning.  With a live band, comfortable lounges and with a focus on rums from around the world, if you haven’t already overindulged at dinner, we recommend trying some of the amazing rum cocktails on offer.  Ours was served Fijian style in a bowl and bilo (half coconut cup) which made top-ups easy! Dance the night away at Black Marlin Bar where a DJ playing upbeat dance music alternates with live entertainment on selected days of the week.

Little Chiefs operates within a large fenced playground area – but you will often notice a group of friendly Fijians, noticeable in their yellow Little Chief’s Club shirts, being followed by a happy, singing, playing group of children, on their way to fish feeding, volley ball or swimming races. You will notice above all the happiness within the group.

Children’s meals are served during specified times – a hit for those not wanting to leave the pool or beach is the takeaway lunch box – a great idea! You can take a break while the kids enjoy making new friends, getting a taste of the Fijian culture and having fun in a safe, protected environment.

Babysitting and Nanny Services

One-on-one and small group babysitting facilities are also available upon request.

Adults-only Area

It’s sometimes hard for family resorts to cater to the adults too.  The Shangri-la Yanuca Island, Fiji, is in the enviable position of having enough land to be able to stretch out and create a whole child-free area.

Formerly the old Reef Wing and tucked away at the very far end of the resort away from the families, is the new adults-only area. With its own lobby and entrance, guests staying in the adults-only area enjoy a number of exclusive benefits (including not having to listen to other people’s children).

The stylish adults-only guest area includes a beautiful waterfront pool, chilled water and fruit, cooling spray, sun lounges and complimentary towels.  Each evening take advantage of cocktail hour with complimentary beverages.
