An update from Fiji Airways regarding the Boeing 737 Max 8 planes (March 2019).
As you would have heard Australia’s Civil Aviation Authority have suspended all Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft from flying in and out of Australia.
Fiji Airways have complied with this order and will not be flying any Max 8 aircraft in or out of Australia.
If you are scheduled to fly whilst this order is in place you will not be put onto a Max 8 aircraft. Fiji Airways has a fleet of other aircraft that they will utilise to replace the current scheduled flights that were to be run by the Max 8.
We are keeping in touch with any flight time changes that may occur with the change of aircraft. We are able to look at your flight and see which aircraft you are currently scheduled to fly on. If that was the Max 8 you can expect that there will be a change and we will certainly update you on that as soon as we know.
Please know we will do our absolute best to update you as soon as we know what change may have taken place on your flight schedule.
If you do have any questions please do be in touch and we will answer to the best of our knowledge.
